The abduction of Elizabeth Smart was one of the most followed child abduction cases of our time. Elizabeth was abducted on June 5, 2002 and endured daily sexual assault, starvation, and abuse for 9 grueling months. Thanks to public awareness surrounding her disappearance, and a watchful community in her hometown of Salt Lake City, Elizabeth was identified by a bystander and able to return home on March 12, 2002.
Today, Elizabeth works actively in the fight against sexual violence and exploitation as an advocate and activist. She is the Founder of the Elizabeth Smart Foundation, which aims to provide education, promote healing, and further advocacy for survivors of sexual violence and exploitation.
Clay serves as the CEO and Founder of Impact Suite, which owns and operates a suite of award-winning self-care apps. Early on in his career, Clay co-founded and lead the creation of Fight the New Drug—a youth movement dedicated to raising awareness on the harmful effects of pornography and other forms of sexual exploitation through science, facts, and personal accounts.
His newest passion project is leading the creation of Raise—a free parenting resource dedicated to helping parents navigate the challenges of the current digital landscape with their children while helping them develop healthy relationships with technology.
Raise is a free parenting resource that helps families navigate the evolving challenges of today’s digital landscape. The Raise app offers educational videos on different parenting and technology topics, goal tracking, and challenges to try out in your own home. You can download the app here.
The Raise Digital Safety Conference brings experts together to educate parents on the crucial information they need to know in order to raise children who can thrive in a hyper-digitized world.
If you think your community would benefit from a future Raise Digital Safety Conference, we’d love to hear from you! Please share your thoughts by emailing email@example.com.
This event is primarily oriented towards parents, not children. However, children are welcome to attend with parents if you purchase a seat for them.
